Gears 5 was originally released in 2019. In December 2020 a patch was released which added various graphical options. From the official patch notes: “Added Xbox Series X/S features like Screen-Space Global Illumination, Contact Shadows, and Variable Rate Shading support to Ultra PC. These are powerful features, so performance in Ultra settings may be reduced.”
The numbers and screenshots shown below correspond to the patched version with all graphical settings set to the maximum possible.
