It is interesting to see a 10 years old game running at 30 FPS on an overclocked RTX 3090. This is much worse than some of the recent DX 12 titles.
There is no built-in benchmark or a stand-alone benchmark for Dragon Age 2 so the numbers shown here reflect the performance at an early part of the game as shown in the screenshots (city of Kirkwall).
During 8K cutscenes, the frames are rendered at about 45 FPS but gameplay fluctuates between 25 – 35 FPS, mostly staying around the 30 FPS average.
Over 10 GB of VRAM was utilized at 8K compared to around 3 GB at 4K.
